How to Measure Your Ring Size

Size guide

01

Wrap a Strip Around the Finger

Find a thin strip of paper or a non-stretch string. Wrap it around the finger where you want to wear the ring. It should fit snugly but still be able to slide over the knuckle.

02

Highlight Overlap

Mark with a pen the point where the paper or string overlaps and forms a full circle around the finger.

03

Measure Length

Lay the paper or string flat on a table and measure the distance from the end to the mark with a ruler. The measurement in millimeters corresponds to the circumference of your finger.

04

Find Your Size

Compare your measurement with the size chart below to find the correct ring size.

05

Important to Know

This method provides a good estimate, but it is normal to measure 4-6 mm too large with paper. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we therefore recommend choosing the smaller size or ordering our ring sizer for the most precise result.

Northern Legacy Ring Size Guide

If you already have a ring that fits perfectly on the desired finger, you can use it to find your size.

  1. Choose a suitable ring: Ensure the ring has a similar width to the one you wish to purchase.
  2. Measure the inner diameter: Place a ruler across the center of the ring and measure the inner diameter in millimeters. Be as precise as possible.
  3. Find your size: Use the diameter column in the table above to find the corresponding US or EU size.

Important Tips for a Perfect Fit

Ring width: A wider ring (over 6 mm) may feel tighter. Consider going up half to a full size.

Between two sizes: If your measurement falls between two sizes, it is always recommended to choose the larger one.

Professional measurement: The most accurate method is to have your ring size measured by a professional jeweler. This guide is a strong alternative for home use.

Each Finger Has Its Own Size

It's completely normal to use different ring sizes on different fingers.

For example, I use:

  • Pinky finger: Size 7
  • Index finger: Size 11
  • Ring finger: Size 10

If you're buying a ring as a gift and have no idea about the size, size 10 is a good place to start. It's the most common ring size among men.

And don't worry, we send a free ring sizer with all ring orders. If the size doesn't fit, the recipient can easily find the correct size and exchange the ring.

Cold can make your fingers smaller

When it's cold, blood vessels constrict, and your fingers often become a little smaller. Therefore, a ring that normally fits perfectly may feel looser or even slip off.

Heat can make your fingers bigger

When it's warm, after exercise, or at the end of the day, your fingers may swell slightly.

Therefore, the same ring may feel tighter even though its size hasn't changed.

Most of our pendants can be adjusted from 50 to 60 cm

Flexible chain selection

We now offer many of our beautiful necklaces in both 50 cm and 60 cm chains, so you can adapt your style exactly to your preferences. Choose the length that suits you best and express your personality in style.

Can vary from person to person

A 50 cm chain will typically sit lower on the chest of a teenager or a slender person with narrow shoulders, while it will sit higher and appear shorter on an adult man with broader shoulders, a larger chest, or a thicker neck.

If in doubt, we generally recommend:

50 cm for a shorter and snugger fit around the neck

60 cm for a more relaxed and versatile fit, suitable for most men

Remember that height, build, and shoulder width all affect how a chain looks when worn.

Personal preference for fit can vary, so some people may prefer a slightly tighter or looser fit

Bracelet Size Guide

When choosing your bracelet size, it is important to measure your wrist circumference accurately to ensure a comfortable and secure fit

Length (cm)

Length (in)

Fit

S - 19.05 cm

7.5 inches

If your wrist measures 19.5 cm, the bracelet should fit comfortably with some room to spare.

M - 20.32 cm

8 inches

This measurement is within the average size range for men's wrists.

L - 21.59 cm

8.5 inches

For those of you with a wide wrist or those who prefer a loose bracelet.

Pay Attention to the Fit

The same bracelet size can fit differently from person to person.

A size M bracelet will typically fit looser on a person with a slender wrist or a teenager, while it will fit tighter on an adult with thicker wrists or forearms.

If you are between two sizes, we recommend:

  • Choose the smaller size if you want a tighter fit.
  • Choose the larger size if you prefer a looser fit.
